Hill won't be seen as a friend of the taxpayer this fall
after he voted for a record-shattering $3 trillion dollar budget that increases
taxes on Americans by $683 billion (House Roll Call 382).
Hill voted against providing tax relief for over 20 million Americans, choosing the sham plan of raising taxes in order to cut taxes over putting more money in the pockets of hard-working Americans. (House Roll Call 1183)
Hill had the opportunity to pass an AMT patch free of tax increases, but voted with his Democrat leaders to kill it (House Roll Call 1152). Hill then voted in lock-step with his Democrat leaders to kill a clean AMT patch, instead voting for burdening tax increases that will negatively impact the competitiveness of U.S. businesses and the American economy (House Roll Call 1153).
Hill showed a commitment to raising taxes immediately after being sworn-in: His first vote elected Pelosi Speaker and his second vote made it easier to impose massive tax hikes on the American people.
